Art Appreciation

Explore and appreciate art through the ages. You will learn about the history of art and how it has played a part in shaping the world we live in. The course will allow you to discuss different artists spanning the ages from Warrior Cults through to the contemporary art of today, how art is perceived in different contexts and develop skills to evaluate art critically. The Renaissance, Cult Art, Christian, Egyptian, Impressionist, Surrealist and more will be covered in this course. You will select and discuss a range of different artwork with your peers. This course is suitable if you are new to art history or wishing to learn more.

In Person – No appointment is necessary but please check our opening hours before coming along. You will be able to enrol at our Bower Park or Brittons Centres. You will need to bring along your payment, ID, proof of address and proof of eligibility (if applicable) at the time of your enrolment. If you are unsure what to bring, please ring ahead for confirmation.
