Supporting Autism in the Classroom: Essential Skills for Teaching Assistants

This essential part of the school support staff member’s toolkit is targeted at those working alongside pupils living with autism. The course will provide a greater awareness of autism, plus participants will work to devise strategies for providing meaningful support. This course is not suitable for parents and is aimed at those working with children professionally, in an educational setting.

What is IAG? Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) is required to enrol on any course with an IAG symbol. This is usually a pre-course interview.

In Person – No appointment is necessary but please check our opening hours before coming along. You will be able to enrol at our Bower Park or Brittons Centres. You will need to bring along your payment, ID, proof of address and proof of eligibility (if applicable) at the time of your enrolment. If you are unsure what to bring, please ring ahead for confirmation.
