  • Fashion & Dressmaking – Beginners

    After selecting a commercial pattern you will learn how to take body measurements, relate them to the pattern information, cut out the correct size and make basic amendments to the pattern. Additionally, you will learn to thread and use a sewing machine and basic dressmaking techniques such as stitching darts and attaching facings.   • Felt Making

    This is a series of workshops covering the basic principles of felt making, giving you the opportunity to understand the process of making felt and the variety of techniques involved in its production. You have the opportunity to enrol on further workshops where you will create an item using the felt you make. Although each workshop is standalone, if you have not made felt previously, it is advisable that you enrol on the Felt Making – Introduction course before enrolling on the other workshops.
