  • Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems

    This course is for anyone looking to develop their understanding of mental health and the problems that can cause mental ill-health. You will complete a portfolio to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of a range of conditions.

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA – Adult)

    The course is for everyone and you don’t need any qualifications or experience in mental health to take part. The course is delivered over two or four sessions, and you need to attend all the sessions to receive MHFA accreditation. The course covers the following topics: What is mental health and how to reduce the stigma of mental health? You will learn about suicide, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm and psychosis. In each session you will learn techniques to spot the early signs of a mental health issue, gain confidence helping someone experiencing a mental health issue, provide help on a first aid basis and prevent someone from hurting themselves or others. Help stop a mental health issue from getting worse and how to help someone recover faster and guide them towards the right support. We are happy to deliver this course externally for groups of eight or more.

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA – Youth)

    MHFA (Youth) course qualifies you as a Youth Mental Health First Aider. You will have an in-depth understanding of young people’s mental health and factors that affect wellbeing. You will develop practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues. You will have the confidence to reassure and support a young person in distress, whilst improving your interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening. You will be supporting the young person recover their health and develop the tools to look after your own mental wellbeing.

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Lite – Introduction

    This is an ideal course for those with a general interest in mental health. On this introduction course, you will be able to define mental health and some common mental health issues. Identify stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues, relate to people’s experiences, support people in distress and look after your own mental health. This course is ideal for you if you wish to gain a greater understanding of person-centred approaches when working with adults with mental health issues. You will gain an understanding of mental health conditions and the impact on the individual. This is an accredited course and you will be required to complete a workbook, which will be externally verified, to receive your certificate. We are happy to deliver this course externally for groups of eight or more learners.
