    This course will be of benefit to Teaching Assistants working within a school who want to develop their skills in behaviour management and become more confident in their classroom practice.   • Supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities

    This Level 1 qualification is a useful addition to a teaching assistant’s CV and will enable you to gain a greater understanding of person-centred approaches when supporting adult learners with learning disabilities. You will explore strategies to adapt your practice to aid learning development. You will also consider effective communication, appropriate language and levels of support. This course is not suitable for those supporting in Key Stages 1-4 and is assessed through the completion of a workbook.

    This non-accredited course looks at the key skills in English that are required to be able to provide effective support to children at KS2. It is suitable for Teaching Assistants already working with children in Junior settings and for those who are working in Infant settings but would like to work with older children.   • The Sex Factor – How Gender Impacts On Learning Support: Essential Skills for Teaching Assistants

    There is very little difference in what boys and girls can learn, but there is emerging evidence that there are differences in how they learn.
