ICT COURSES
IT for Beginners
Our IT for Beginners programme is delivered across three supportive steps, just like the courses shown above.
- Part 1 helps you get comfortable with the absolute basics — using a mouse, keyboard, and simple computer controls.
- Part 2 builds your confidence with everyday digital tasks like managing files, browsing safely, and managing simple online activities.
- Part 3 takes you beyond the basics, helping you use multiple applications, handle emails and attachments, and you’ll even finish with an Entry Level 3 E‑Safety qualification.
If you’re not confident with technology, this is the perfect place to start.
Digital Functional Skills
Once you’ve built your confidence with the basics, the next stage is our Digital Functional Skills qualifications at Entry Level 3 and Level 1. These accredited courses help you develop the practical digital skills needed for everyday life, work, and further learning — from using devices safely to creating documents, managing data, and communicating online.
If you’re not quite ready to jump straight into a qualification, don’t worry. We also offer a friendly 3‑session Preparing for Digital Functional Skills course, designed to refresh your core skills and help you feel fully comfortable before moving on.

Excel: Basic Skills That Employers Expect
Build essential Excel skills used in most workplaces. You’ll learn how to enter, organise, sort and filter data, as well as use basic formulas such as SUM, AVERAGE and COUNT.
Excel: Making Sense of Data with Charts and Visuals
Learn how to turn raw data into meaningful visuals using Excel charts. You will cover selecting the right chart type, formatting for clarity, and presenting data in a way that supports decision-making in the workplace.
Excel: Formulas for Real Work Tasks
Gain confidence using key Excel formulas that automate calculations and improve productivity. You will work with IF statements, VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP, and conditional formatting to solve common workplace data tasks more efficiently.
Excel: Budgeting and Forecasting
