Havering Adult College Raises Funds for Macmillan Cancer Support
A Coffee Morning Turns into a Coffee Week
At Havering Adult College, community and compassion are at the heart of everything we do — and our recent Macmillan Coffee Week was a wonderful example of that spirit in action.
What started as a Macmillan Coffee Morning quickly grew into a full week of coffee and connection, giving more learners, tutors, and staff the chance to take part. Each day, we hosted two 30-minute sessions — one before morning classes and another before afternoon sessions — where everyone was invited to pause, chat, and share a coffee, cake, or biscuit while donating what they could.
The atmosphere throughout the week was full of laughter, delicious homemade treats, and friendly conversations. Every coffee poured and every slice of cake shared added up to something meaningful — our collective effort to support people living with cancer and the amazing work done by Macmillan Cancer Support across the UK.
